Pandinavia is climate neutral

Although the range of sustainable advertising and merchandising articles is increasing, it is still quite modest at the moment. In addition, the hectic marketing life often means that there is not enough time to develop sustainable solutions in the procurement process. With CO₂ compensation, Pandinavia now offers a good opportunity for companies to order their promotional items in a climate-neutral way.

Climate-neutral refers to companies, products and processes whose CO₂ emissions have been calculated and offset by supporting internationally recognized climate protection projects. With CO₂ compensation, the respective product or company receives the status of climate neutrality. Pandinavia has been offsetting its CO₂ emissions in collaboration with ClimatePartner (www.climatepartner.com) since summer 2019. We offset all of our company’s currently unavoidable emissions by supporting a climate protection project in the Amazon Delta: This makes us a climate-neutral company.

This approach is now also available to Pandinavia customers with regard to the procurement of their promotional items. We have configured each product in our database (www.pandinavia.ch/en/whole-assortment/) so that the approximate CO₂ impact of production and transportation can be calculated automatically for each item and order quantity. The system calculates the resulting costs for offsetting the resulting greenhouse gases. It works in a similar way to offsetting air travel.

Companies can place individual orders in a climate-neutral manner or analyze their entire product range according to this criterion and determine the total CO₂ contribution to be offset once a year.

Offsetting CO₂ emissions is an important step in holistic climate protection alongside avoidance and reduction. Greenhouse gases such as CO₂ are distributed evenly in the atmosphere, regardless of where they were originally produced. The concentration of greenhouse gases is roughly the same everywhere on earth. Emissions that cannot be avoided locally can be offset by climate protection projects elsewhere, which helps to reduce greenhouse gas concentrations worldwide.
