The washing/drying process
Textile washing is a process in which numerous physical and chemical influences interact. Four factors influence the process: the chemistry, which is determined by the detergent, the mechanics of the washing machine and the time and temperature, which depend on the choice of washing and drying program. Washing success is determined by the sum of these four influencing factors. Our producers have studied these factors and their effects on our products in advance and recommend that the washing and care instructions on the inside label be carefully followed. Detergents are already very concentrated today: It takes small amounts for a successful wash. If you wash textiles with several colors in the same cycle, it is advisable to use a color detergent. These tend to be mild and the colors remain bright for a long time. Caution is advised with white detergents, as they often contain bleaching agents and there is a risk that the contrast of your textiles will be stripped of its color.
If you want to wash your textiles at a high temperature, we will be happy to advise you on the most suitable material. The same applies if you send them to a laundry.
After removing your textiles from the washing machine, wring them out two or three times or give them a good shake and they are already half ironed! Pique polo shirt fabrics in particular need to be stretched a little after each wash. When showering, simply take slightly creased textiles into the bathroom and hang them up there. The steam irons the fibers and also refreshes the garment.
